Hairstyles for thin hair

For ladies who suffer from fine or thinning hair, it can be increasingly difficult to find a style that you feel works well for you. There are, though, some great hairstyles for thin hair that can make your hair appear more full and thick. If you would like to go about doing this, then we recommend you speaking with your hairdresser and trying out some of the following hairstyles.

The bob

A good choice to go for is to go for a shorter hair length. A bob is a great way for creating volume and making your hair appear thicker if you stick with one length. Many people with fine or thinning hair tend to find the ends of their hair are more 'straggly'. Cutting your hair shorter can give you more fullness.

The lob

A good alternative to a bob is a lob (long bob). If you have fine or thinning hair but want to keep some length then a lob is a perfect hair cut for you. The lob is a great way to make your hair appear fuller and thicker when cut at one length however it is not too short that you are unable to tie it back.

The stack

A good choice for most ladies, though, is to go for a classic stacked bob at a medium length. It looks good as it can work well for those who are short on time to manage their hair. It usually sits in a kind of simple position without you having to really do too much with it. If you want, you could add some colour into the cut to help inject even more life and texture into the hair.

The shag

Medium or long length hair that is thinning can be made to look so much thicker if you add a bit of a shag to it. It works well because the layers that taper down to the back help to make sure that it creates a natural image of more volume. This is great for those who are looking for a simple, easy way to add a bit of natural texture to their hair.

Layered long bob

If your thinning hair annoys you, then go for a layered long bob cut and have a nice side part that is deep and noticeable. This helps to avoid the fear of your bob being too top-heavy, all the while making sure that the thinness of your hair is hidden away due to the layering carried out through the bob. It works extremely well for making sure you can get your thin hair disguised, all the while making your hair look stylish at the same time.
